to Attend Business Luncheon

Stuart, FL-- Willie E. Gary, prominent attorney and chairman of the Black Family Channel, recently enabled disadvantaged youth in the Chicago area to attend the business luncheon during the 34th Annual Rainbow PUSH Coalition and Citizenship Education Fund Conference. Gary conducted a Trial Master’s Seminar “How to Win Billion Dollar Verdicts,” at the Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Chicago, Illinois during the conference in order to raise sponsorship money which allowed Chicago area youth to attend the Rainbow PUSH Conference business luncheon. The seminar also included presentations from Attorney James Montgomery, named one of “Chicago’s Toughest Attorneys” by Chicago Magazine, and Attorney Stanley Rosenblatt, a Miami, Florida-based trial lawyer is best known for winning a precedent-shattering $145 billion punitive damages verdict on behalf of some 500,000 Florida smokers.

The “Trial Master’s Seminar” included strategies on jury selection and delivering effective opening and closing statements. It was conducted by three of the most dynamic and talented trial attorneys in the nation and provided valuable information to attorneys and law students who desired to perfect their litigation skills. The “Trial Master’s Seminar” was complimentary with the sponsorship of $1,250 which reserved a table for 10 children at the Rainbow PUSH Conference luncheon. The sponsorship positively impacted the lives of children from Chicago area youth groups by enabling them to attend the luncheon and listen to role models such as Reverend Jesse Jackson and Kwame Jackson from the NBC hit television show, “The Apprentice.” The children, dressed in business attire, listened intently to the guest speakers. They were elated to be able to meet Gary and others at the conclusion of the luncheon, posing for pictures and asking for autographs.

“Due to the generous support from attorneys and others attending the Rainbow PUSH conference, these kids were able to attend a prestigious luncheon and were exposed to positive role models,” said Gary. “It is opportunities such as this that can change a child’s life forever,” continued Gary.

Gary is noted for taking on some of America’s most powerful companies--winning billions of dollars in verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. Gary is also the Chairman of the Black Family Channel, America’s only minority owned and operated, 24-hour cable network. Known for his philanthropic endeavors, he and his wife, Dr. Gloria Gary, founded The Gary Foundation, which provides college scholarships to at-risk students who wish to attend college. The Gary’s have donated millions of dollars to help Historically Black Colleges and Universities including $10 million to his alma mater Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina.
