Willie Gary, Attorney and Chairman of the Black Family Channel, Presents $10,000 Donation to Rev. Dr. Suzan Johnson Cook during the Inaugural Women In Ministry International Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Stuart, FL-- Willie E. Gary, prominent attorney and chairman of the Black Family Channel, recently presented a donation to the Women In Ministry in the amount of $10,000 during its international conference held at the Harbor Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The conference was hosted by Rev. Dr. Suzan Johnson Cook, the first female president of Hampton University’s Ministers Conference.

Gary addressed nearly 500 attendees at the Women In Ministry International Conference and presented Rev. Dr. Suzan Johnson Cook with a donation of $10,000 to help pay for training and scholarships, and to support the goals of Women In Ministry. This was the first gathering of women in ministry from around the world. The international conference brought together bishops, senior pastors, elders, deacons and others, in order to learn from the trailblazers and pioneers who have paved the way. The conference offered important seminars such as: Being a Team Player/Following Leadership, 21st Century Ministry: What does it Take? and Finding a Mentor.    

“It was truly an honor to be in the presence of these amazing women,” said Gary. “We have all been called to a mission to help others. I hope this donation helps Women In Ministry achieve its goal to better the lives of those seeking spiritual guidance,” continued Gary.         

Gary, who is best known in legal circles for taking on some of America’s most powerful companies, winning billions of dollars in verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. Gary is also the Chairman of the Black Family Channel, America’s only minority owned and operated, 24-hour cable network. Known for his philanthropic endeavors, he and his wife, Dr. Gloria Gary, founded The Gary Foundation, which provides college scholarships to at-risk students who wish to attend college. The Gary’s have donated millions of dollars to help Historically Black Colleges and Universities including $10 million to his alma mater Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina.
